Assam Woman Accuses Ashok Singhal's PSO of Blackmail, Video Leak
Guwahati: A 22-year-old nursing student has filed a complaint at the All Women Police Station in Panbazar, Guwahati, against Chakreshwar Mili, the personal security officer (PSO) of Assam minister Ashok Singhal. She has accused him of sexual exploitation, physical abuse, blackmail and sharing her intimate videos with others without her consent. The complaint is dated November 1, 2026. The woman, who is pursuing GNM Nursing in Guwahati and belongs to North Lakhimpur, has alleged that Mili began harassing and exploiting her in 2023. Her name is being withheld. Speaking to reporters, she described how the relationship began and how, according to her, it turned into a pattern of threats and control. “I fell in love with a boy named Chakreshwar Mili, and we have been in a relationship since 2023. He kept saying he would marry me, and we stayed in that relationship for one and a half years. Now I have understood that he was only making promises, and I tried to walk away from him,” she told reporters. She alleged that Mili was already married and still wanted her to stay on. “He has been harassing me a lot. He told me that I must compromise, that even though he has a wife, I must stay with him secretly and must not love anyone else. All this time he was cheating me with the promise of marriage,” she said while speaking to reporters. In her written complaint, the woman has alleged that she became pregnant in May 2026 without her consent, that Mili made her take an abortion pill, and that he then took her to Global Hospital in Hatigaon, where the pregnancy was terminated through medical procedures. She has said the experience left her with severe pain and mental trauma. The complaint states that in August 2026, while allegedly assaulting her and forcing sexual acts on her, Mili recorded intimate videos of her without her consent. She has said that in the last week of October, after she repeatedly asked him to delete them and leave her alone, he sent the videos to several people on WhatsApp. “He has made my videos viral. He sent them to my cousin and to other people, including family members. Recently, he sent the video to the person who is my boyfriend as well. I have faced a lot of mental harassment because of this, and that is why I have come forward to speak,” the woman told reporters. She also alleged that Mili used his post to scare her into silence. “He has blackmailed me a lot, and now I have filed a case at the police station. He introduces himself as the PSO of Ashok Singhal and keeps threatening me. He said that if I told anyone, including the media, he would deal with me and make more videos viral. He used Ashok Singhal’s name to threaten me,” she said, speaking to reporters. The complaint adds that Mili often told her that no police officer could take action against him. The woman said she now wants only one thing. “I want justice. My video should not be spread any further. The harassment has been going on since 2025, and he made the video viral last week. He kept blackmailing me, saying that if I got into a relationship with another boy, he would make the video viral,” she told reporters. In her complaint, she has asked the police to register an FIR and carry out a quick and fair investigation. She has also sought the preservation of digital evidence such as WhatsApp messages, call records and video files, the seizure of the phones allegedly used to record and circulate the videos, steps to stop the videos from spreading online, and immediate police protection, as she fears further threats because of Mili's position. She has attached screenshots of the leaked videos, records of WhatsApp chats, medical records from Global Hospital and proof of her identity. Mili is a resident of Ghunasuti in Jamuguri, North Lakhimpur district. These are the woman's allegations and have not been independently verified. There is no response yet from Mili or the minister's office, and it is not known whether the police have registered an FIR.
