Bank of India Customers Alert: Three-Day Bank Strike Proposed From September 28
New Delhi: Bank customers may face disruptions in banking services as the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has proposed a three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to September 30, 2026 . In a customer advisory, Bank of India (BOI) has asked customers to complete important banking transactions before the proposed strike dates and make use of digital and alternative banking channels during the period. Customers have been advised to: Complete important banking transactions before the strike dates. Use ATMs/ADWMs for cash requirements. Avail services through Customer Service Points (CSPs) . Give priority to Internet Banking, BOI Mobile Banking, UPI and other digital banking channels . Bank of India said it would make every possible effort to provide essential banking services during the proposed strike period. The bank also expressed regret for any inconvenience customers may face and thanked them for their cooperation and understanding. The strike has been described as a proposal in the BOI notice; the actual impact on banking services will depend on developments and the implementation of the strike.
