Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever revealed that he had planned to give Prime Minister Narendra Modi a replica of Delhi’s India Gate made entirely from Belgian chocolate. The unusual gift was chosen as a tribute to the more than 9,000 Indian soldiers who fought and died in Flanders Fields during the First World War. However, the chocolate sculpture did not survive the journey to India. De Wever said a backup remains in Belgium and will eventually be delivered to PM Modi.
