CJI Surya Kant reprimands BCI on NALSAR controversy, Supreme Court orders to stop action against students

Taking a tough stance on BCI's action against NALSAR students, the Supreme Court put an interim stay on the punitive action. CJI Surya Kant termed BCI's interference in the peaceful student protest as unnecessary and unfair. The court also raised questions on the decision-making process and jurisdiction of BCI.
