CPI blames Union govt for sugar price rise

Blaming the Union BJP government for the rise in sugar prices, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) on Sunday alleged that the government’s ethanol policy and the diversion of sugarcane for ethanol production caused the price increase.
