DGCA Audit Exposes Serious Safety Lapses In Himalayan Helicopter Operations

DGCA safety audits found multiple operational lapses among helicopter operators flying in Himalayan regions, including poor fatigue monitoring, maintenance issues and weak emergency procedures. The findings followed six helicopter accidents reported in Uttarakhand between 2023 and 2025.
