Gold Hallmarking Gets Costlier as BIS Raises Fee by 30 Rupees Per Article

BIS has revised hallmarking charges under the 2026 amendment regulations. The fee for gold articles has increased from 45 rupees to 75 rupees per article, while silver remains at 35 rupees. The AHC-to-BIS gold fee has also risen, whereas minimum consignment charges remain unchanged under the revised framework.
