Google fined €403 million by EU regulator over location data privacy violations

Google has been fined €403 million by Ireland's Data Protection Commission for violating EU privacy rules over its handling of users' location data. The regulator found issues involving Web & App Activity, Location History and Location Accuracy between 2018 and 2020 and ordered Google to comply with GDPR requirements within six months.
