'India ready to help end Russia-Ukraine war': Jaishankar offers mediation, backs dialogue and diplomacy

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has offered India's assistance in efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war , saying New Delhi is ready to help in "any manner" if its involvement can contribute to ending the conflict. Speaking to the media during his visit to Kyiv on Thursday, Jaishankar said India has consistently maintained that this is not an era of war and that lasting solutions cannot come from the battlefield. The External Affairs Minister's remarks came during his discussions with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, with the Russia-Ukraine conflict and its wider consequences forming a key part of their talks.
