Man, 3-year-old son killed in Soibugh road accident; wife critical

Budgam, Sep 12: A 29-year-old man and his 3-year-old son were killed on the spot while his wife sustained critical injuries after a car collided with their motorcycle in Soibugh area of central Kashmir's Budgam district on Saturday. Officials told GNS that a car bearing registration number JK02CV-2129 driven by Nadeem Imtiyaz Mir of Nishat, while travelling from Budgam towards Soibugh, collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04G-3449. The motorcycle was being driven by Naseer Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Ghoom Ahmadpora, Magam, with his wife Dilshada Akhter (26) and son Hadi (03) as pillion riders. In the collision, Naseer Ahmad Mir and his son Hadi died on the spot, while his wife Dilshada Akhter sustained critical injuries. She was immediately shifted to hospital where her condition is stated to be critical. A few other vehicles were also damaged in the accident, officials said. Police have taken cognizance and initiated further investigation.
