India has received a fresh upgrade to its economic growth outlook, with Moody’s raising its forecast for the country’s real GDP growth in fiscal year 2026-27 to 7% from an earlier 6%. The revision comes as India shows resilience despite geopolitical tensions and elevated global energy risks. The upgrade also follows stronger-than-expected economic data. India’s economy grew 7.8% year-on-year in the April-June quarter of FY2026-27, supported by investment, manufacturing and services activity. However, Moody’s has also highlighted risks.
