Shows at Mumbai's Gaiety-Galaxy have been suspended after a Bandra police notice cited non-renewal of the cinema's licence. Theatre executive director Manoj Desai gave a different explanation, saying some cables had burned and new ones needed to be brought from Lohar Chawl, South Mumbai. He described the closure as a technical issue.
