PM Modi Meets BJP’s Newly Appointed National Office-Bearers in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the BJP’s newly appointed national office-bearers at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Saturday Modi arrived at the party office in the evening, shortly after the BJP adopted a resolution highlighting the historical significance and legacy of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. The party also announced plans for a nationwide campaign aimed at creating greater awareness about the history and importance of the song. BJP president Nitin Nabin welcomed the Prime Minister at the party headquarters. Visuals released by news agency ANI showed Modi and Nabin posing for photographs with the newly appointed national office-bearers. The meeting came after the BJP announced its 65-member national team on August 17 as part of a major organisational reshuffle. The new team includes 51 new faces, reflecting a significant change in the party’s national organisational structure. Among those inducted into key organisational positions are BJP leaders Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Manoj Tigga and Sandeep Pathak. The reshuffle also saw several prominent political figures being assigned important responsibilities within the party organisation. Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje and former Union minister Smriti Irani are among the senior leaders who have been given roles in the revamped structure. The meeting with Modi assumes significance as the BJP prepares to intensify its organisational activities and strengthen its outreach across the country. The newly appointed office-bearers are expected to play a key role in implementing the party’s programmes and coordinating its political and organisational activities across different states. The interaction also comes ahead of a series of organisational meetings aimed at reviewing the party’s preparedness for upcoming Assembly elections and strengthening its grassroots network.
