Rajasthan Government Grants 180-Day Maternity Leave To Surrogate Mothers, 90 Days To Commissioning Mothers

Rajasthan government employees who become surrogate mothers can now avail up to 180 days of maternity leave, while commissioning mothers can receive 90 days under revised service provisions. The move follows a 2023 Rajasthan High Court ruling that held surrogate mothers should not be discriminated against in maternity leave benefits.
