Tamil Nadu govt withdraws land acquisition notification for Melma SIPCOT project amid farmer protests

The Tamil Nadu government has withdrawn a notification to acquire 22.16 hectares of agricultural land in Melma village for the Phase-3 expansion of the SIPCOT industrial park following a recommendation from the Tiruvannamalai district collector.
