If the government does not act, they will launch bigger protests. Thousands of people who want to become teachers wait for job notifications. However, the associations say the government takes too long to hire new teachers, even though government schools do not have enough teachers. This shortage hurts students’ education. At a press conference in Hyderabad, leaders listed their main demands. Specifically, they want the government to immediately release a Mega DSC notification for 30,000 jobs, announce job openings in Gurukul and Telangana Model Schools, fill teacher jobs in Agency areas with an Agency DSC notification, and hire teachers quickly for Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya schools. Furthermore, the associations urge the government to find out exactly how many teaching jobs are open and announce all the job openings at the same time, instead of waiting. They explain that people waiting for these jobs face problems like age limits, stress from studying for exams, and money issues. Meanwhile, government schools still lack enough teachers. Therefore, the government must fix this problem quickly so students can get a good education and schools have enough teachers. In addition, the leaders urge the government to focus on hiring teachers and share a clear plan to fill the empty jobs. They want the government to start hiring soon so unemployed teacher candidates can get jobs and students in government schools can get better education. They call for the government to start the Mega DSC hiring for 30,000 jobs and fill jobs in Gurukuls, Model Schools, Agency DSCs, and KGBVs right away. The associations warn that if the government does not agree to their demands or announce job openings soon, they will organize more protests. The Telangana B.Ed.
