‘They plan to kill me’: UP woman’s last call to family; husband, mother-in-law arrested over dowry death

A husband and his mother were arrested in Ballia for the alleged dowry death of his wife. The couple married in April 2021 and faced harassment over dowry demands. Goldi's family had reportedly paid Rs 3 lakh for a four-wheeler purchase. She informed her family about her in-laws' killing plans before her death. Police registered a case under dowry death and cruelty provisions.
