Three men drowned after entering a creek near Ganesh Visarjan Ghat at Retibunder in Thane on August 30, 2026, police said. Alam Sayyed, Rizwan Sayyed and Sahil Polandas entered the water for a swim but were overwhelmed by strong currents and depth. Rescue teams recovered them by 4:20 PM, and doctors declared all three brought dead at Kalwa hospital.
