UGC Equity Rules Are Only A Draft, 'Will Not Become Law': RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said the UGC’s contested equity regulations remain a proposal and will not be enacted as law. His remarks came during a meeting with Jain saint Acharya Pulak Sagar Maharaj in Bhilwara. The regulations were earlier stayed by the Supreme Court, which called them prima facie vague and directed continuation of the 2012 rules.
