Central Railway To Add 22 More 15-Coach Locals From August 15 To Ease Main Line Crowding

Central Railway will upgrade 22 suburban services from 12 coaches to 15 coaches from August 15, increasing passenger capacity by around 25% on each train. The move will raise 15-coach services from 32 to 54 and benefit commuters on routes serving Ambernath, Badlapur, Karjat and Khopoli. According to Central Railway, 11 upgraded services will operate during peak hours.
