FDA's big crackdown on five establishments, edible oil worth Rs 1.94 crore seized; Units closed by suspending license

Major action by FDA on edible oil business in Beed, 1.19 lakh kg edible oil worth about Rs 1.94 crore seized from five establishments. The department suspended the licenses of all the establishments and closed the units after finding alleged deficiencies in packaging, labelling, hygiene and necessary certifications. A total of 27 samples were also taken for testing.
