India's direct tax collections jump 23% to ₹8.1 lakh crore; tax from stock trades surges 51%

Taxes collected from individuals and other non-corporate taxpayers rose to ₹5.07 lakh crore, while corporate tax collections increased to ₹2.70 lakh crore through August 10.
