He questioned how a [...]<strong>HYDERABAD:</strong> BRS working president <a href="https://x.com/ANI/status/2086830014050574569?s=20">K T Rama Rao</a> on Tuesday sought a comprehensive probe into the allotment of nearly five acres of government land, valued at around ₹200 crore, to Tesseract Advanced Systems. Rama Rao alleged that the company is linked to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s brother, Anumula Kondal Reddy. He questioned how a company with a paid-up capital of just ₹1 lakh and no employees could qualify for such a valuable land parcel. Addressing a press conference at the BRS headquarters in Hyderabad, Rama Rao said Tesseract had zero employees as of March 31, 2025. He also said the company’s paid-up capital stood at ₹1 lakh. According to details cited by <a href="https://x.com/ani_digital/status/2087162121834369168?s=20">Rama Rao</a>, the nearly five-acre parcel carries an estimated value of ₹200 crore. The government, he alleged, allotted it for around ₹7 crore, at roughly ₹3,700 per square yard. “How can a company with zero employees and ₹1 lakh paid-up capital get five acres of government land worth ₹200 crore? Is this not a scam?” Rama Rao asked. He demanded that the Telangana government release all documents related to the allotment. These include the Government Order, land valuation, eligibility criteria, investment proposal, employment commitments and details of the officials involved in the decision. <h3>KTR questions minister’s claim on Kondal Reddy</h3> Rama Rao also challenged Minister D Sridhar Babu’s statement that Kondal Reddy had no connection with Tesseract. He referred to Kondal Reddy’s LinkedIn profile and said the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum had described him as chairman of Tesseract Advanced Systems. Rama Rao said the BRS would submit a formal complaint to the Telangana Governor. He also said the party would approach the Lokayukta and courts if required. He said the BRS would continue pursuing the issue until the facts were established and those responsible were held accountable. Rama Rao also raised questions about other alleged business, land and contract dealings involving members of the chief minister’s family. He called for a comprehensive examination of these transactions. <h3>BRS warns of agitation over irrigation projects</h3> On irrigation, Rama Rao urged the Telangana government to boycott the Godavari River Management Board meeting if the proposed cancellation of approvals for seven Telangana projects remains on the agenda. He warned that the BRS would launch a “Jala Udyamam” in Telangana if the issue was not removed from the agenda. He said the party would intensify its agitation to protect the state’s irrigation rights. Rama Rao also criticised Congress and BJP MPs from Telangana for not strongly raising the demand for national project status for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme in Parliament. Summing up his criticism of their performance, he said, “8 + 8 = 0.” Rama Rao further demanded that the government immediately switch on the Narlapur and Kannepally pump houses and ensure irrigation water reaches farmers. He said prayers and rituals must be backed by concrete action on the ground.
