Maharashtra's Sindhudurg gets tourism boost as three decade-long wait ends for a 5-star hotel

Decks were cleared for a five-star hotel at Shirorda-Velagar in Sindhudurg district, marking a significant step towards giving a new direction to tourism development in the coastal Konkan belt. A significant tripartite agreement was signed between the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), Indian Hotels Company Limited (Taj Group) and Shirorda-Velagar Landowners’ Co-operative Society Limited.
