Navi Mumbai: Archaeology Officials Inspect Historic Structure In Mahape, Suggest It Could Be 500 Years Old

A historic structure in Navi Mumbai’s Mahape MIDC area could be at least 500 years old and may have links to the Portuguese era, according to preliminary observations by archaeology officials. Dr Mayur Thakre and Sumedh Gaikwad inspected the site, while activists urged authorities to protect it pending a detailed report on its origins and significance.
