Supriya Sule Says No Politics In PM Modi Meet As NCP-SP MPs Raise Maharashtra's Key Demands

NCP MPs from the Sharad Pawar faction met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to raise several Maharashtra-specific issues. Supriya Sule said the 15-minute meeting involved no political discussion and focused on constituency concerns including drought, onion prices and pollution in the Chandra Bhaga river. Dr Amol Kolhe demanded that the new Navi Mumbai airport be named after DB Patil and sought Bharat Ratna honours for Jyotiba Phule, Savitri Phule, Anna Bhau Sathe and Saint Tukdoji Maharaj. MPs also raised Pune-Nashik Metro, JNPT, rail connectivity and other infrastructure concerns.
