Twin robberies near Bhubaneswar railway station spark panic among commuters
The festive season has begun, but a series of alleged robbery incidents has triggered panic among commuters in the Odisha capital Bhubaneswar , with the Railway Station area emerging as a new target for suspected looters. Two passengers were allegedly assaulted and robbed of more than Rs 50,000 in separate incidents early Friday morning. The back-to-back incidents have raised serious questions over the security arrangements in and around the railway station. Passenger Robbed While Dropping Daughter According to reports, Parshuram Karan had arrived at the railway station in the morning to drop his daughter. During this time, some unidentified miscreants allegedly attacked him and fled after snatching cash from him. The miscreants reportedly assaulted him before looting his cash. Police Begin Probe Into Twin Robberies Following the incidents, complaints were lodged at Kharavel Nagar Police Station. Police have reportedly started an investigation into the twin robbery cases and are examining the circumstances surrounding the incidents. The alleged series of robberies during the festive season has sparked concern among commuters and residents over the safety of the railway station area. All eyes are now on the police to identify and apprehend those involved in the incidents.
