UP Nears Top Spot In Rooftop Solar Installations With 7.92 Lakh Connections Under PM Surya Ghar Scheme

Uttar Pradesh is moving closer to becoming India’s leading state in domestic rooftop solar installations under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The state has recorded 7,92,959 installations till August 2026, including 73,716 in August alone. With an average pace of 2,378 installations daily, UP is expected to overtake the current leader by October.
