We Are Not Begging: Kashmir Intern Doctors Intensify Fight Over Rs 12,300 Stipend

The protest by MBBS and BDS intern doctors in Jammu and Kashmir has entered its sixth day as medical interns continue their strike demanding a stipend hike from the current Rs 12,300 to Rs 25,000–Rs 30,000. Doctors say they are seeking fair compensation for long hospital duties, emergency responsibilities and clinical work, while the government maintains that the proposal is under process.
