Hyderabad Task Force nabs two interstate drug peddlers with ganja, hash oil

The seized contraband, along with two mobile phones, was estimated to be worth about ₹23 lakh, according [...] <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>HYDERABAD:</strong> The Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone, along with Kachiguda police, apprehended two alleged interstate drug peddlers and seized 21.2kg of ganja and one litre of hash oil near the parcel office at Kachiguda Railway Station, police said.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The seized contraband, along with two mobile phones, was estimated to be worth about ₹23 lakh, according to police.</p> <h3>Police say accused planned to sell drugs in Hyderabad</h3> <p class="isSelectedEnd">The accused were identified as Pangi Satish Kumar, 29, a labourer from Gathum Post in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, Andhra Pradesh, and Pangi Ganesh, 29, a labourer from Aborada in Padua, Koraput district, Odisha.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Police said the two men are cousins and had allegedly come to Hyderabad with the intention of selling ganja and hash oil to customers for easy money.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Acting on credible information, the Task Force team and Kachiguda police intercepted the duo near the railway station. Police said they found two gunny bags containing 18 packets of ganja weighing about 21.2kg and one litre of hash oil.</p> <h3>Duo allegedly bought contraband from Odisha man</h3> <p class="isSelectedEnd">During questioning, the accused allegedly told police that they had purchased the ganja and hash oil from a person identified as Loknath from Odisha, who is currently absconding.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">Police seized 18 packets of ganja, one litre of hash oil and two mobile phones from the accused. The total value of the seized material was estimated at about ₹23 lakh.</p> The operation was carried out under the supervision of Task Force Deputy Commissioner of Police Vaibhav Gaikwad Raghunath, Secunderabad Zone Task Force Inspector J RajaShekar, Kachiguda Inspector S Rajashekar, Task Force Sub-Inspector B Mahesh and Kachiguda Sub-Inspector A Bharath Kumar, along with their teams.
