Vedanta Iron and Steel’s loss narrows on year in September quarter

In the September quarter, Vedanta Iron and Steel reported a consolidated loss of Rs 324 crore despite a decrease in expenses, which fell by more than 9% to Rs 3,129 crore due to various operational difficulties. The company produced 532,000 tonnes of steel, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 4%. This showcases a notable enhancement in financial metrics amidst persistent issues in the iron ore sector.
